Cambridge Pug-o-ween 2011

Happy Halloween to all pet lovers.  I had the joy of photographing these pugs dressed up in their Halloween costumes last weekend.  They were constantly on the move but I managed to get some nice shots.  The organizers of this event use this opportunity to raise money for the pug rescue organization.  They raised $240 which went toward Harvey's care.  He was recently rescued.  He had a skin infection and a broken leg and is well on his way to getting better.  He is pictured in the last two photos.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

 It is Thanksgiving in Canada.  I just wanted to share a few seasonal pictures and wish everyone a healthy and happy day.  I am thankful for my husband, family and life that I have.  Enjoy the day and best wishes to all.

Grand River Abstract

Mike and I were on the road again.  We decided to go to Port Dover which is on Lake Erie: we hadn't been there at all this summer and I was wanting the perch dinner.  We made a couple of stops along the way so that I could take some pictures to document our day.  When we got to "Dover" we went immediately to the restaurant and got a pitcher of beer and for our appetizer we got bake brie with roasted garlic. MMMMM it was so good.  The beer was going down great so we got another pitcher and ordered our perch dinners. As we ate we enjoyed the waves lapping against the shore and the children playing in the water. After dinner we went for a walk along the pier, had an ice cream and waited for the sun to set as I wanted some pictures of the sun setting over the lake.  Enjoy the pictures.

                             

                               

Fall Is Coming

Mike and I went for a nice walk today on one of the local trails.  It was cool today, 15 degrees celius compared to the 32 degrees celcius of two days ago not including the wicked humidity.  It reminded me that Fall is on its way, and that my favourite season of the year is coming ( besides Christmas).  I thought I would post a few shots from last fall that showcase the beautiful colors that will soon be upon us.  The shots were taken at the Guelph Arboretum in the fall of 2010.  It is a beautiful place and I still remember that on this particular day the Guelph Gryphons University football team was playing and while I was walking and capturning my shots I could here the fans cheering.  A perfect fall day.  Football and the amazing fall foliage.  Enjoy......
